Recomend a good book! Old Wed Aug 29, 2007 12:19:46 PM #40571 Perm Link
I'm getting tired of not having anything to read, so everyone should recomend a good book! I'm currently readying Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, since I have nothing else to read.
My suggestions:
The house of the Scorpion
Prey

Yes, I pity her; but it's her own blindness that so causes the other disabilities.

I'm sure you've read the older good ones like Death of a Salesman or The Great Gatsby...

The new OS Xtreme theme is out in FORCE. Try it now and be amazed. It is the best style we've got.

Not sure if you're looking for a specific genre, but I'd say Catch-22 or White Teeth.

My vocabulary is di...di...dimi...dimini..........killing itself.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I Live, I will kill you. If I Die, You are forgiven." Such is the Rule of Honor.

I recommend "Romiette and Julio".
It's a modern take on Romeo and Juliet.
Very touching book and definitely for those romantic peoples out there.

The Sherlock Holmes adventures as the best. I really want to read more, but our library only has few of the adventures. They are great books. Huge Grin

If you like anything with magic, either The Chronicles of Valdemar or The Circle of Magic would be good series for you. Both are by Tamora Pierce, one of my favorite authors.
